Description
Cornmint essential oil is minty freshness in a gentler form — more natural and less sharp than peppermint.
The oil is distilled from cornmint (Mentha arvensis). It has a crisp, clean, cooling aroma long valued in the East and loved today by mint fans looking for an alternative to peppermint. You can use it in much the same way — to freshen rooms and for baths and massage.
Blends well with: tea tree, cypress, grapefruit, lavender, juniper, marjoram, rosemary, basil and lemon essential oils.
How to use cornmint essential oil
- on skin — always diluted in a carrier oil,
- in an oil burner or diffuser — 2 drops for a fresh, cheerful atmosphere,
- homemade sugar scrub — mix 2 drops each of cornmint and tea tree oil with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of coconut oil; the scrub smooths and refreshes the skin,
- post-workout massage — 3 drops mixed with a carrier oil and massaged into the skin for a pleasant cooling sensation.
Capacity: 10 ml.
Caution
Essential oils are highly concentrated — do not swallow, and never apply to skin undiluted; always blend with a carrier oil first. Patch test before first use: apply a drop of diluted oil behind the ear or on the inner forearm; if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes, the inner ear and sensitive areas.
