Description
Lemon Verbena Essential Oil — a fresh, bright, citrus-herbal aroma that transports you to sun-drenched lemon groves.
Lemon verbena (Aloysia triphylla) is a flowering perennial shrub of the verbena family (Verbenaceae), native to South America. Mind the names: lemon verbena oil and verbena oil are two very different things! Its citrusy scent and flavour have long made it popular in the kitchen and traditionally valued as a herb.
Well known in the perfume and tea industries, the oil has a fresh, uplifting, citrus-herbal character. Its aroma freshens your surroundings and awakens the senses — a lovely, invigorating touch during the day. In homemade cosmetics it adds citrus freshness to your skincare.
How to use lemon verbena essential oil
- in a diffuser or oil burner — a few drops for a refreshing atmosphere while you work,
- as a room spray — with water in a spray bottle,
- in skincare — a drop in a portion of shower gel or cream (always at a low concentration),
- for massage — diluted in a carrier oil.
Volume: 10 ml.
Caution
Do not ingest. Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin and patch test first: apply a drop of diluted oil to the inner forearm — if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
