Mandarin Essential Oil 10 ml

Mandarin Essential Oil has a sweet, gentle, cheerful scent of ripe mandarins — one of the softest citrus oils.

The mandarin owes its name to the high officials of the Chinese empire — its vibrant colour recalled their orange robes. The fruit grows on a delicate evergreen tree native to China, Vietnam and Japan and has been cultivated around the world for over 3000 years. It was brought to Europe in 1805 and to America in 1845.

The oil is pressed from the outer rind of the fruit. It is very mild, and its sweet, juicy aroma makes it a favourite among aromatherapy lovers — perfect in the evening when you want to create a warm, sunny atmosphere at home.

How to use mandarin essential oil

• in a diffuser or oil burner — for a calm, cheerful evening,
• in the bath — a few drops mixed with a carrier oil or bath salts,
• in skincare — a drop added to an unscented cream or oil gives it a pleasant citrus scent,
• in blends with lavender, vanilla, cinnamon or other citrus oils.

Volume: 10 ml.

Directions
Diffuser or oil burner: a few drops. On skin: always diluted in a carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond, jojoba or coconut).

Caution
Do not swallow. Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin and patch test first: apply a drop of the diluted oil to the inner forearm — if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Citrus oils may increase skin sensitivity to sunlight — avoid sun exposure for several hours after applying to skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
