Description
Rose Geranium Essential Oil — a subtly sweet, crisp, rosy scent with a slightly earthy or minty note.
Rose geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is a plant of the cranesbill family, native to South Africa. It produces beautiful pink-and-white flowers with distinctive purple markings on the petals. Interestingly, the oil isn’t made from the flowers but from the leaves and stems — and it goes on to be used in perfumery, aromatherapy and, of course, skincare.
Its soothing, rosy aroma makes geranium a classic of homemade blends for moments of relaxation and good mood. In skincare it is especially valued for oily skin — a drop in a cream or toner gives it a fresh, floral scent.
How to use rose geranium essential oil
- in a diffuser or oil burner — for a cheerful, relaxing evening,
- in skincare — a drop in a portion of cream, toner or body oil,
- in the bath — a few drops mixed with a carrier oil or bath salts,
- for massage — diluted in a carrier oil,
- in blends — as the rosy heart of floral compositions.
Volume: 10 ml.
