Description
Dill seed essential oil offers a fresh, sweet, herbal aroma with an earthy note — a surprisingly elegant addition to your home fragrance blends.
Dill (Anethum graveolens) belongs to the celery family (Apiaceae) and is native to southern Europe. It is an annual herb that grows in the Mediterranean and in central and southern Asia, and is now cultivated all over the world. As an aromatic herb and spice it has more than 5,000 years of history — it accompanied people in the kitchen and in home traditions long before our era.
Dill seed oil has a slightly earthy, fresh, sweet, herbaceous scent that blends well with citrus, spice, wood and herbal oils. Its calm character suits meditation and moments of reflection, when you want to create a peaceful atmosphere.
How to use dill seed oil
- in a diffuser or oil burner — 2–3 drops, on its own or blended with e.g. lemon or cedarwood,
- during meditation and yoga — for a calm, peaceful atmosphere,
- for massage — diluted in a carrier oil,
- in the bath — a few drops mixed with a carrier oil or bath salts.
Capacity: 10 ml.
Caution
Essential oils are highly concentrated — do not swallow, and never apply to skin undiluted; always blend with a carrier oil first. Patch test before first use: apply a drop of diluted oil behind the ear or on the inner forearm; if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes, the inner ear and sensitive areas.
