Scots Pine Essential Oil 10 ml

Scots Pine Essential Oil — a resinous, clean and uplifting scent that brings a pine forest into your home.

Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) is a brown-barked tree of the pine family (Pinaceae) that grows throughout Europe and as far as Siberia. It can reach 40 metres in height and live for up to 500 years. Its needles grow in pairs from a shared base. In mythology, the great goddess Cybele turned the handsome young Attis into a pine tree.

The oil contains around 90% monoterpenes, which means it oxidises easily — store it in the fridge to keep it fresh for longer. Its scent is both invigorating and cleansing, making it ideal for diffusers and homemade cleaning solutions. In aromatherapy it creates an uplifting, refreshing atmosphere.

How to use pine essential oil

• in a diffuser or oil burner — a woodland mood on winter evenings,
• in homemade cleaners — a few drops in floor or worktop cleaner,
• in the bath — a few drops mixed with a carrier oil or bath salts,
• for massage — diluted in a carrier oil at the end of an active day.

Volume: 10 ml. Storage: ideally in the fridge, tightly closed.

Caution
Do not ingest. Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin and patch test first: apply a drop of diluted oil to the inner forearm — if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
