Apricot Kernel Oil – 100ml

Apricot kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca) is a gentle carrier oil that absorbs in a flash — great for massage and everyday skincare.

Origin: Spain. The oil is clear, pale yellow and virtually odourless, very light — it absorbs even faster than jojoba and argan oil. A little history: like the peach, the apricot was brought to Europe from the Middle East by the Romans; today it is widely grown in many warmer European countries and in the US.

How to use apricot kernel oil

• as a carrier oil for massage and for diluting essential oils — its neutral scent won’t overpower your blend,
• in homemade cosmetics — moisturises and softens skin without leaving a greasy layer,
• after a bath — a few drops massaged into damp skin,
• for a homemade scrub — mix with sugar or salt and add a drop of your favourite essential oil,
• for hands and cuticles — a little massaged in before bed.

It is the starting point for many homemade recipes: just a few drops of essential oil turn it into your own fragrant massage or bath oil.
