<trp-tag data-no-translation="">**Frankincense (Olibanum) Dilute Essential Oil** offers a woody, spicy, softly resinous scent that has accompanied moments of focus and quiet for thousands of years.

*Boswellia sacra*, commonly known as frankincense or the olibanum tree, belongs to the Burseraceae family. It grows in the dry, mountainous regions of India, Africa and the Middle East. Its resin is harvested and dried to make frankincense, and the oil is then steam distilled from the resin.

Frankincense has symbolised divinity since ancient times and was part of sacred rituals. It was one of the most prized possessions of biblical times — valuable enough, as tradition has it, to be given to the newborn Christ. Today it is used in perfumes, incense and skincare products.

### How to use frankincense oil

- during meditation and evening wind-down — a drop on your wrists or on a tissue nearby,
- for a neck, shoulder and hand massage,
- as a natural scent accent — on pulse points instead of perfume,
- in the bath — a few drops mixed with bath salts.

**Blends well with:** citrus oils (lime, lemon, wild orange), as well as cypress, lavender, geranium, rose, sandalwood, ylang ylang and clary sage.

**Composition:** frankincense oil at 5% dilution in grapeseed oil. Volume: 10 ml.

**Caution**  
Do not swallow. This oil is already diluted, but patch test before first use: apply a drop to the inner forearm — if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
