Citrus oils are favourites in any essential oil collection — they are versatile and their fresh scent lifts the mood. Lime oil (*Citrus aurantifolia*) is extracted by cold pressing fresh lime peels or by steam distillation of dried peels.

Lime, the lemon’s cousin, has a greener, zingier scent — it brings to mind summer lemonades, tropical holidays and the energy of a sunny morning. A great aroma for the kitchen, bathroom and home office — anywhere you want a touch of freshness.

### How to use lime essential oil

- in a diffuser — a refreshing aroma while you work and to get the morning going,
- as a home freshener — a few drops with water in a spray bottle,
- for massage — diluted in a carrier oil, for a fresh citrus scent,
- in blends with mint, lavender, lemongrass or coconut.

**Volume:** 10 ml.

**Directions**  
Diffuser or oil burner: a few drops. On skin: always diluted in a carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond, jojoba or coconut).

**Caution**  
Do not swallow. Always dilute in a carrier oil before applying to skin and patch test first: apply a drop of the diluted oil to the inner forearm — if any reaction appears within 24 hours, do not use on skin. Citrus oils may increase skin sensitivity to sunlight — avoid sun exposure for several hours after applying to skin. Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, breastfeeding or under medical care, consult your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
