The mandala — a geometric, concentric design — symbolises unity, harmony and balance in Indian culture. Masala incense is made the traditional Indian way: the sticks are coated in a thick paste of aromatic ingredients, so they smoulder slowly and release a full, rich scent. The lavender version brings to mind a garden in full purple bloom.

### How to use incense sticks

- light the tip of the stick,
- wait a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so the tip glows,
- place it upright or at an angle in a holder that catches the ash,
- enjoy the fragrance as it slowly fills the room.
